Kendal Sperry's Bio
Kendall Sperry
Kendall was first introduced to Royal Rangers when he was about 10 years old, but the church he attended as a boy discontinued the program a year or two after. He always wished there would have been someone willing to continue the ministry. Soon after settling into Calvary Temple Assembly of God in East Millinocket in 1989, he and a friend began a much needed ministry to boys which naturally developed into a Royal Ranger ministry. As he learned the ropes and worked through the old training system his enthusiasm began to grow and the Lord began to bless. Over the past 16 yrs he has served as a group commander for all Royal Ranger groups and has served as Senior Commander for the past 5 yrs. as well as Northern Section Commander for approx. 1 1/2 years. Kendall also serves on his church board of deacons, teaches an adult Sunday School class, and enjoys preaching on occasion.
Kendall married Kathleen, the love of his life, in June of 1985. Eight years later Kaleb was born and then 9 years later Kyle surprised them. When Kendall has time he enjoys hunting and fishing the wild places of the Maine wilderness. Kendall is an accomplished woodworker and makes trout landing nets as a source of income to support his family and all his other hobbies.
One of his favorite scriptures is Prov 3:5,6 "Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths."
