SHOOTING SPORT & SPIRIT CHALLENGE WEEKEND

On May 29-31, we are holding our 6th Annual Shooting Sport and Spirit Challenge Weekend. This event has taken on a new dimension since its inception, with a big emphasis surrounding our evening campfire on Saturday night. It is still a shooting event for your older boys, with all types of firearms being used by the men and boys, along with instruction as to their proper use. The boys will spend most of the day shooting, which is really popular. They will shoot Black Powder (muzzleloader and flintlock), .22 rifle, hand gun (with a Sig Arms instructor on an indoor range, shotgun (skeet shooting) and possibly long range shooting (with special rifles and instructed by Dale Bishop).

See the Downloads section for all the documents you'll need.

Saturday evening will be centered around the Spirit Challenge Campfire, with topics that are rarely, if ever, discussed with our young men in an audience of their Christian peers and leaders. I can't begin to tell you how well received this type of discussion was at our last campfire in 2007. This year will be no different. These young men will be seriously challenged in areas that affect their Christian walk in their everyday lives. They should not miss this!

This year, as in the past, you will camping at the Pemi Fish and Game site, and providing all of your own meals, as well as cooking. This is an opportunity to have your older boys display their skills at planning and executing a camping weekend. Don't shy away from this. When we "talk" about "reaching, teaching and keeping", here's your chance. Step up, Commander. You won't be disappointed.

The necessary forms can be downloaded by clicking here. Open them now, copy them, and fill them out...give Commander Love a call or an email, and we'll see you at the end of the month.
